Information we receive

When you create or join a split, we may process the name you provide, bill items, participant selections, and split totals. When you contact us, we receive the name, email address, and message you submit.

Receipt images and scanning

Receipt images are sent securely to our receipt-scanning provider to extract bill information. Receipt images are not used for advertising. You can review and correct the extracted items before sharing.

How we use information

We use information to provide bill splitting, keep selections synchronized, respond to support requests, maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal information.

Storage and retention

Split information is retained only as needed to operate the shared split and maintain the service. Contact messages are retained for support and record-keeping. You should not upload information that is unrelated to splitting a bill.
